STUCK EP
STUCK EP is a contradicting collection of playful songs about the passage of time, loss, the difficulty of living in a cruel environment-inhospitable to new ideas, identity formation through the eyes of others and ways of coping(or not) with all the above.
The first song,“STUCK”, sets the tone. It was inspired by the music for a small animation I did some time ago. The animation was based on a drawing called VERBAL FIGHT, out of my HIBERNATION series.
During the pandemic, I constantly imagined an empty field with someone/-thing just being stuck there, completely alone, watching the clouds go by. A desert feeling of loneliness. This feeling slowly transformed to the more ambiguous feeling of anxiety and existential dread. In the end, all these took the form of a jingle-like small song.
“NOT EASY” talks about the loss of an important person and the vague desire to stay friends.
“BAD TASTE” is about my hometown, Athens :((((
In “LOSER” a groovy, sexy voice talks about their effort to make a song to impress and their failure to do so, dew to the amount of time needed.
“STEP OUTSIDE” is an outro
The pitched vocals throughout the whole EP create a sense of depersonalisation and build different characters that sing their words through their own point of view. The artwork was first made a while ago, as an homage to a theatrical play for children I was a part of, that got to an end.
All of the above are just random thoughts that I’m now quickly writing down. Feel free to roam.

Melt Mountain - Superfetish LP
Melt Mountain is one’s inner most angst, a gut feeling of a frivolous daily routine, a hopeless bus ride that’s only meant to show you how things may seem through a window as you swiftly pass by, with no intention of getting off. This has been the case since 2014 when they released their self-titled EP, carving up a musical landscape in a whimsical sense while also setting up intricate foundations with a narrative that most people can relate to.
“Superfetish” has explored more of the depths that the band was willing to go to. Lyrically it is very much influenced by urban culture, life and conduct, as complex and unforgiving as it gets. It navigates the recluse mind and the misunderstood personality. At the same time their music joins the dots between the abstract thought process captured in words with the same riffing mountain melting power that has come to define them.
The album was produced by the band and most of it was recorded live in four days at Urban Studios (Athens) in February 2016. All the artwork illustrations were created by Never Brush My Teeth.
